April 2005- Progress Report: First Quarter 2005.

Progress Report: How Much Value have you Created from your Intangible Assets in the First Quarter of 2005?

The year 2005 is almost one third complete, and it is spring in the northern and autumn in the southern hemisphere. How much value have you created to your organisation from your intangible assets in the first three months of this year and how much more will you create before the year ends? Does performance match plan? Is there a plan? Most organisations simply leave money on the table by allowing their most valuable assets to be under utilised.

If you are unsure as to where a business focused drive to mine these assets in your organisation fits in your mission, vision or strategy I would like to discuss that with you. We in the ICMG Network have enquiry methods which can give you direction as to how relevant such an approach can be for you, and which can in partnership with your organisation give you direction as to which of the possible projects you may unearth are more likely to yield higher value streams.

The global economy continues to move towards a disaggregated model where it is imperative to mine the assets available within an organisation and maximise the output of the key value streams available, the most valuable of which may not in fact be in your current main strategic direction. Today it is more than ever the combination of inventive skill, professional development and value release through applying the best complementary business assets available which give the best potential for commercial success.

In times when, in our globalising knowledge based economy, small differences in effectiveness can make a significant difference to economic performance, any country, organisation or company which underutilise its most valuable assets accepts the risk that it be overtaken by those who are diligently doing the hard work to create, manage and mine theirs for competitive value. How is your organisation’s vector moving as the global knowledge based economy gradually comes together?

If you want to discuss these topics further and explore opportunities for future value, do give me a call or drop me an e-mail.
